The city of London is set to welcome the country's largest all-electric, net-zero office in Victoria. The project named 105 Victoria Street will mainly include office spaces with a flexible design to accommodate the rapidly evolving ways of working.

The £1bn scheme will provide universal access to the outdoors and feature extensive terraces and a 'walk and talk' track for the visitors. Bental Green Oak will develop the project on behalf of Welput with design from architects KPF and Henning Larsen.

Located in the center of Westminster, just a short walk from Buckingham Palace, the 16-story building's construction will begin in August 2022, with expected completion in 2026.

The 470,000 sq. ft building will receive energy from entirely renewable sources with no gas supply and no diesel generator during its construction and operation.

105 Victoria Street will employ innovations in ultra-low carbon construction to ensure the carbon emitted during its construction will be offset within six years of operation. As a result, the building will become net beneficial to the environment within six years of its lifespan.

With a covered plaza on the ground floor, called the Village Square, the building will be totally different from conventional offices. It will be designed to be a lively market hall with facilities to host music events, fashion shows, art exhibitions, and sporting events.

To encourage health and wellness, The Village Square will be connected with the underground bicycle parking and workshop, gym, and multi-purpose event and conference hall through a winding staircase and bicycle ramp wrapping around a small pocket of indoor greenery.

The project aims to surpass BREEAM 'Outstanding,' EPC A, and WELL 'Platinum' certification and also exceed RIBA 2030 sustainability targets.
