Global Positioning System (GPS) refers to the NAVSTAR Global Positioning System, a constellations of satellites developed by the United States Department of Defence. At first the GPS was made for military use only, but later made accessible to civilians as well. But recently, GPS is most widely used GNSS satellite constellation in the world.
GLONASS ;
Globalnaya Navigazionnaya Sputnikovaya Sistema (GLONASS) is an acronym which is translated from Russian, this means Global Navigation Satellite System. It is accessible for both military and civil use and also provides real time position and velocity determination.
The main difference between GPS & GLONASS is that, with GPS satellites use the same radio frequencies but have different codes for communication while GLONASS satellites have the same codes but use different frequencies, allowing satellites on the same orbital plane to communicate.

Chrome Corundum Bricks are popular for having high temperature resistant and slag corrosion resistant, especially the corrosion resistant of molten cinders is more effective than low silicon corundum bricks. Chrome Corundum bricks generally contains Cr2O3 and the main mineral composition is Al2O3-Cr2O3 solid solution.
The appearence color of chrome corundum brick is green at initial stage of molding because it is made of corundum with chrome green. But due to high temperature sintering, its appearence color becomes red or sometimes even purple-red after reaction with CO. And the color change is determined by the level of chromium content plus the load-resistant softening temperature of these bricks are very high.

Breast Wall :
Breast wall is the wall which is built to sustain the face of a natural bank of the earth. Thus we can say, it is the wall built to prevent the soil on a natural slope embankment from sliding down the slope from the harsh weather effects.
The main difference is Retaining wall is constructed at upstream of a road formation whereas breast wall is constructed at its downstream.

Selection of foundation depends on the soil base at the site whether it is for single storey building or building with more storeys. There are many factors like – bearing capacity failure, settlement, quality, adequate strength, etc. which affect the type of foundation. So, after considering these factors we should choose the building foundation.
Mainly for buildings having more storeys needs a good and strong foundation. Shallow foundation will be best foundation for building with more storeys. Pile foundation is also recommended for G+5 buildings.

When it comes to soundness property, we generally go for the hardening ability of cement paste to retain its volume after setting without delayed destructive expansion. And the destructive expansion is caused by excessive amounts of free lime (CaO) or magnesia (MgO).
The soundness of cement determines the strength of cement to maintain its volume as soon as it gets solidified. If once the cement mortar gets dried, then there isn’t any change in volume. If any change in volume occurs, then it allows the cement to inflate or contract. So, these cracks may take place.
Soundness of cement is determined by two methods, they are;
