    Development Length:

    The length of bars which used to transfer the stress from Steel to concrete called as a development length. Refer IS 456:2000 for details. The tension and compression calculated pass of any section shall be developed on each side of the section with particular development length.

    Anchorage length:

    The length which is provided when enough development length cannot be able to provide at the fixed end called as an anchorage length. Its value is ( 8 x  Diameter) for 90-degree bend while, (6 x Diameter ) for the bend of 135 degrees.

    If sufficient development length is not able to provide in rebars for the development of stress, the anchorage length will be provided.

    development length is the length that is needed to insert in the concrete so that can easily resist the force that is applied

    whereas

    anchorage length is the length of bar which is considered to be available when it is bended by some angle and it is provided at the support

    similarly, the development length in the column will be the same as that of beam

    from the below image you can understand what I m saying about the development length and anchorage length of beam and column
