    It is generally assumed to be 250 MPa.

    Generally compressive strength of Steel, we assume the same as concrete.

    And in actual still have a higher compressive strength than concrete.

    we can assume that same strength as if we have a steel a fe500, then compressive and tensile strength of Steel is 500 mpa

    Generally the compressive strength of steel is assumed same as concrete. But in actual steel have higher compressive strength than concrete. And it is generally assumed as 250 Mpa.
