    Crazing often occur within a few hours of plaster being applied to the wall and cracks may hardly be visible until dust or moisture makes them noticeable. These cracks normally occurs when a plaster mix with a high cement content is used or the plaster is allowed to dry too quickly.

    • Manufacturer Certificate
    1. Grade of steel
    2. Ultimate & bearing strength of steel
    • Length of Bar
    1. Std length = 12m.
    • Wt of bar
    1. Using formula, W = (DxD)/162 kg/m
    2. For 10mm dia, W = (10×10)/162 = 0.617 kg/m
    • Dia of Bar
    1. Randomly check the dia of bar using “Vernier Caliper” from each lots of diff dia.
    • Tag on Bar
    1. ISI Mark
    2. Grade of Steel
    3. Company logo/Name
    • Color of Bar
    1. Should be grey & not any rusted color.
    • Bend Test
    1. Bend the bar at 180° & observe the behavior of the rebar.
    • Re-Bend Test
    1. Bend the bar at 135° & observe the behavior of the rebar.
    2. Place it in 100°C hot water for 30 mins. Then bend at 157.5° & observe the behavior of the rebar.

    Most imp’ly, the bars should have grips on it.

But as you mentioned in the question about his safety, yes the M sand safe for construction purposes up to some extent and after using some admixtures. Basically, rivers and is very costly. And the sands of the river selling on the base of weight. If M sand is available in the local area as it is the best choice to use. In Hyderabad, most of the power plants use a Robo sand or M sand and rock sand. Because the rivers are situated far away from the city location.

    Depending on the structural needs one can choose shallow, deep as well as mat foundation. The thing that matters is which type of structure is going to be built. Thank you!

    The pressure is zero when the soil voids are filled with air, and is negative when the voids are partly filled with water (in which case surface-tension forces operate to achieve a suction effect and the shear strength of the soil is increased).
