    There are many advantages of using plastic formwork over wooden formwork but the main advantage is we can handle plastic formwork very easily rather than handling wooden formwork because plastic formwork has light weight. Also plastic formwork is good resistant against water. And any type of complex shaped structures can be prepared easily.

    Hi, Advantages of using a plastic formwork rather than wooden homework.

    1. It does not degrade
    2. It has long life.
    3. Does not effect by chemicals.
    4. It is water resistant.
    5. High tensile and compressive strength.
    6. Easy to place and maintain
    7. Interlocking is possible in plastic shuttering
    8. Able to construct for customised shapes and sizes.
    9. It is lightweight.
    10. It is reusable and easy to clean.
    11. It is easy and fast for setup.
    12. Not requirement of skilled laborers.

    Plastic formwork may be preferred over wooden formwork because :

    • Lighter weight
    • Standard sized formwork needed, so no need to custom make at site
    • Longer lifespan of well stored
    • Easy to fix and remove
    • Large projects require a large amount of shuttering making plastic formwork more economical
    • Interlocking possible in plastic shuttering
    • Can be used over 100 times
    • Similar shapes required in large housing schemes
    • Higher weather resistance
