When you see around, the construction quality performed by PWD or Government-authorized contractors is pretty much in bad shape. We need to take appropriate measures to improve the same.

    How can we improve on the quality of civil construction in India?

    As a civil engineer, it’s our responsibility to introduce some techniques to improve the quality of civil construction in India.

    Personally, I suggested some techniques. With the help of these techniques, we can definitely improve the quality of civil construction in India. They are as follows ;

    • By properly determination of structure design
    • Appropriate checking of concrete mix
    • To inspect the wall thickness correctly without introducing any error in it
    • Consciously ensure the safety features in various structures in India
    • Take a look of paint and plastering quality as well
    • Property examine the Elevators if any
    • Accurately investigation of soil

    Thank you!

    India is a developing country where most of modern transportation facilities and modern machines are not in use, which ultimately increases time and cost.

    following points describes , how to improve quality of constructions.

    1. Punctuality is just a myth for construction industry, while at present some known compaines doing well but still government contracts delay.
    2. Modern techniques are still not adopted for construction. Ex. use of nanomateriasl increase life span of structures ,but still not use.
    3. Budget is a crucial point of view. when I talked about budget, transperance make an important role. Down the lane, corruption deteriorites the quality and speed of any project. Ex. The 12 km bridge from gopalganj to chhapra (in Bihar) constructed with 264 crore investment, which is 12 km long collapased after 29 days of inauguration.
    4. Planning and monitoring plays vital role for effictiveness of projects.
    5. To make construction industry safe, proper saftey measure must taken by government. Ex. Insurance for site worker, make skilled before working, use of fast working machinery etc.

    For more clarity, ask in comment.
