Please can someone let me know what the minimum ceiling height should be for a large bedroom, it’s about 20 metres long by 5 metres wide?

    10 feet is minimum ceiling height from finished floor level. Ceiling fan will consume at least 1 feet 6 inches from top. Average height of a man considered as 6 feet, when he/she raised his/her hand it will come to 7 feet 6 inches to 8 feet. So clear distance will be minimum 6 inches from palm top tRead more

    Average height of a man considered as 6 feet, when he/she raised his/her hand it will come to 7 feet 6 inches to 8 feet.

    So clear distance will be minimum 6 inches from palm top to ceiling fan.

    • The dia of reinforced bar should not vary.
    • Bars should not be brittle in nature.It should no break in pieces during bending.
    • The pitch length between the twist should be 8 – 12 times that of the nominal dia of bar.
    • The length of the bar should be between 11 to 12 meters.
    • Reinforced bars should be grey in color.
    • It should not be corroded.
    • Bars should be free of grease, paint and other material.

Assuming, however that the soil beneath a structure is firm and solid, engineers can greatly improve how the building foundation system will respond to seismic waves.

    Another solution refers to base isolation which involves floating a building above its foundation on a system of bearings, springs or padded cylinders.

    Vena contracta is the point in a fluid stream where the diameter of the stream is the least and fluid velocity is at its maximum, such as in the case of the stream issuing out of a nozzle. It is a place where cross section area is minimum.

    2. When a declination is going towards west word direction then it is called negative declination.

    True bearing is the sum of magnetic bearing plus declination.
