Seasoning of stone :
Generally, the action of having various changes in different seasons on the stone which are drying and wetting of stone which gradually forms the crack in stones which leads to the action of weathering action and forms inorganic small size materials is called seasoning of stone.
Seasoning refers to both drying and wetting cycles on one hand, and airing of stone, on the other hand. Dehydration during seasoning is more or less an irreversible process. Thus seasoning applied mainly to soft limestone; hard limestone seems to less affected by it. Stones have natural moisture, known as quarry sap. This quarry sap renders the stone blocks comparatively soft and makes them easy for working. Immediately after quarrying, a stone is soft and is easy to work with it so sized and primarily dressed, but polishing requires a fully seasoned and hardened stone.

Basically, the principle followed is the glucose catalytic principle. According to its formula, it belongs to the polyhydroxy group and its surface has strong polarity. This results in solid-liquid adsorption. Hence the molecular hydroxy group slows the hydration process by hindering the crystal contact and delays tricalcium silicate hydrate reaction.

Accelerator :-
Accelerator are the admixtures for the use in concrete, mortar, rendering or screeds. The addition of accelerator in concrete speeds the setting time and thus cure time starts earlier. Accelerator allows concrete to be placed in winter with reduced risk of frost damage. The chemicals used for acceleration today are calcium nitrate, calcium nitrite, calcium formate and aluminium compounds. Calcium chloride is the most efficient and least expensive accelerator and is also very popular.
Retarder :-
Retarders helps and work as water reducing agent & cement retarder keep concrete workable during placement and delay the initial set of concrete. Retarder work for slowing the setting rate of concrete & also used to counteract the accelerating effect of hot weather on concrete setting. They are used for increasing the setting time of cement.
Gypsum is called retarding agent of cement which is mainly used for regulating the setting time of cement and is an indispensable component. Gypsum is used in cement because it slow down the hydration rate of cement once it is mixed with water.

So, such trusses cannot be analysed by making the use of equilibrium equation alone. Thus, redundant truss are those additional members or supports which are not necessary for maintaining the equilibrium configuration.
Here are some reasons for providing redundant members ;
